The only modification I have made to the machine is removing the safety thermometer that switches the popper off if it gets too hot. The ambient temperature in my house was 65 to 68 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperature in the popper never gets above 43 degrees Celsius (~110F). Additionally, I am plugging straight into the outlet and not using an extension chord or surge protector. No other devices were plugged in to the outlet. I have tried multiple outlets in my house with no difference. I tried covering the exit air flow to raise the temperature as well. All doses I tested above 1/3 cup saw little to no movement from the beans in the chamber. That led me to increase my dosages from 1/3, to 1/2, to 3/4 cup of beans (I also tried 100g as a different form of measurement). I reviewed troubleshooting documentation on their website and online. I have tried to roast some green coffee (Sumatra Kerinci Pendekar Coop) several times now and the machine never gets hot enough. I got a Nostalgia Popcorn Popper from Sweet Maria's for Christmas to start roasting coffee. Have a suggestion for something to add to the sidebar?
